Changing the Track Order
Once your tracks have been added to the Multi-Track Editor, you are not locked into their initial arrangement. You can reorder them at any time to suit your workflow — for example, to bring a primary video track to the top or to group related audio tracks together.
Moving Tracks Up or Down
At the left end of each track, you'll find a pair of Up and Down arrow buttons. These let you reposition a track relative to its neighbors:
- Up Arrow — Swaps the current track with the track directly above it, moving the track one position higher in the stack.
- Down Arrow — Swaps the current track with the track directly below it, moving the track one position lower in the stack.
Each click moves the track by a single position. To move a track across multiple positions, simply click the arrow repeatedly until the track reaches the desired spot.
Track Labels Update Automatically
Track labels are tied to a track's position in the editor, not to the file itself. When you reorder tracks, their numbers are reassigned from top to bottom to reflect the new arrangement — while the V (video) and A (audio) prefixes always stay with their respective track types.
Example: Suppose your editor contains three tracks: V1, A2, and A3 (top to bottom). If you move the A3 track up by one position, it swaps places with A2. The track order is now V1, followed by the audio track formerly labeled A3 — which becomes A2 — and the audio track formerly labeled A2 — which becomes A3.
Note: Reordering swaps the positions of two adjacent tracks — the other tracks in the editor remain unaffected, and all labels are renumbered to match the new top-to-bottom order.
